Put on a Happy Face!

After reading this article today, I am afraid for all of society. I don’t know how prevalent it is, but it worries me that anyone is posting videos to youtube asking if they are ugly or pretty… What has become of us!

This was getting me a bit down, so I had to retreat to my positive corner of the web and cheer myself up a bit. I have discovered three websites that never fail to make me happy (and hungry…you have been warned).  The first is Positively Positive, a site dedicated supporting positive attitudes. My favorite sections are Inspiring, and Playing where you can find lots of uplifting quotes, tips on improving your attitude and videos and article from your favorite stars.

My second uplifting website is Hello Giggles. I discovered this website because the always stylish and inspirational Zooey Deschanel is one of the founders. She said she wanted to be a part of a positive place online for creative women. It includes a kitten cam and articles about style, literature, nail polish, music and more. Of course the creation of this website just reminds me how I will never be as cool as Zooey Deschanel and should probably just stop trying… And now that I have depressed myself with that last thought, on to site #3!

Which is Pinterest, my new favorite obsession! On this site you can “pin” your favorite images and website to virtual pinboards organized by purpose. I have both a Lolzies pinboard where I like to keep things to make me laugh and a Cutsie Cuddles board filled with fluffy animals to make me go “squee”!  Five minutes of surfing Pinterest, never fails to both cheer me up and inspire me to go make something!
