I bought Tom Strong regularly when it first came out and loved it, but for some reason, it dropped off my buy list. It's now on my reread-and-catch-up-on list.

I could see how it could get tiring, but I've really liked every volume. If each volume were longer, more drawn out, it would definitely get old, the way Moonlighting got old.

I really dug the first "Scott Pilgrim." It seemed fresh and different. By the second volume, however, the broken-down fourth wall and the Japanime-like fight scenes got old.

I own them both, but I just saw that we have it at Central. (We also have it at some of our neighborhood libraries.) I was really happy, because I think both volumes are really great.
